Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, Discover Scuba Diving will let you try scuba to see if you like it.
The minimum age for Discover Scuba is 10 years; there is no upper age limit.
All divers are required to complete a medical questionnaire.
While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick and easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world.
You will:
Learn the basics you need to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. One thing you’ll learn is that you really can breathe underwater and whether you like doing that or not. You will:
Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it
Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and be comfortable in the underwater environment.
Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step
Make 2 dives under close supervision of a PADI professional
Times of dives can usually be arranged to suit the student´s schedule. As a guideline, the first dive can be at 10.00, the second at 12.00, and the course compeleted by 13:00.
A briefing will be given explaining the equipment, basic skills, how to communicate underwater for a safe and fun dive
Dives are from the shore at the Kalkan Dive Centre at the Kalamar Beach Club each dive will last about 20 minutes.
Max diving depth will not exceed 12 meters
